Julia Del Balzo, MSW, LCSW, Psychotherapist, specializes in work with children and adolescents, young adults in transition and families. Her private practice is in HoHoKus, New Jersey. Individual session charge is $150. Insurance assignment accepted and sliding scale fees are available by individual arrangement.
Julia says: “Today’s youth feel more pressure than previous generations to achieve success at an early age. I specialize in helping children, teens, and young adults navigate their everyday challenges and life transitions. I work with clients of all ages to identify his or her personal strengths to make positive changes towards growth and happiness. I will communicate with families, schools, and doctors to provide the quality of care you or your loved one needs.
“I am skilled in using play therapy to provide comfort for younger clients, and talk psychotherapy to help teenagers and adults engage in treatment. I will help everyone identify their obstacles so we can overcome them using Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques.”
Julia received her Masters in Social Work at New York University, and her bachelor’s degree at Boston University. Her experience includes several years as an outpatient clinician in Passaic, Morris, Hudson and Bergen counties in New Jersey, where she has helped clients of all ages deal with a variety of stressors including but not limited to:

Julia also spent several years as a Director of Social Work for an adult medical day care center, specializing in the treatment of adults with special needs and clients with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She is knowledgeable of community resources for these populations, as well as the difficulties that these client’s families may encounter.
